If Sputnik is validated, approved by the European Medicines Agency and in France by the High Authority for Health, there is no blocking for it to be disseminated, if it meets scientific standards and robustness requirements and control which are essential in Europe,

German Chancellor Angela Merkel already said on Tuesday that she was open, conditionally, to the idea of using the Russian anti-Covid vaccine in Europe, after the publication of positive scientific results on its effectiveness and to accelerate the vaccination campaign.

The Sputnik V vaccine, a subject so far controversial, is 91.6% effective against symptomatic forms of Covid-19, according to results published Tuesday in the medical journal The Lancet and validated by independent experts.
