Following the hard work of the Masa organization and the Jewish Agency in front of the Ministry of Health, an outline of vaccinations for the population of participants in the "Masa" programs residing in Israel was approved today (Wednesday).
Health Minister Yuli Edelstein and Jewish Agency Chairman Yitzhak (Buzi) Herzog visited the MDA vaccine complex in Jerusalem last night, where we first vaccinated hundreds of young Jews from dozens of countries around the world, including: Uzbekistan, Mexico, Argentina and Togo.
The 5,000 young people who will be vaccinated take part in a variety of long-term programs, between 4 and 10 months, and live in Israel as locals: specializing in high-tech companies, English teachers in schools in the periphery, studying in academia, volunteers in the community and more.
Thus, even though they are foreign citizens and since they are well assimilated into the Israeli population, it was decided to vaccinate them.
According to the approved outline, the vaccination campaign will be spread over a week and a half and will take place in five concentrated vaccination centers in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Beer Sheva and Eilat.
This is done through a dedicated registration system operated by a campaign that aims to regulate the number of visitors and to make sure that all registrants come to be vaccinated, and no vaccine will be wasted. About the vaccine as well as answering questions, concerns and concerns that may arise from the participants.
Health Minister Yuli (Yoel) Edelstein: "We have vaccinated about 4.5 million people in the State of Israel to date. I am happy to be here with the chairman of the Jewish Agency and with the amazing" Journey "participants.
It carries out very important vaccinations.
I saw a slogan here: "Live like an Israeli and get vaccinated like an Israeli."
These are our best wishes to all participants.
Good thing we managed to get rid of all the bureaucratic obstacles that stood in our way.
We also see here a very moving story of a nurse who stores a nurse in the full sense of the word.
I wish such stories multiplied.
I wish all the people of Israel to be healthy and immunized "
The chairman of the Jewish Agency, Yitzhak Herzog, congratulated the Ministry of Health, headed by Minister Yuli Edelstein and MDA, on raising the burden of vaccinating Masa participants in Israel. Ofer Gutman, CEO of Masa, added: "I welcome the approval of the outline for vaccinating campaign participants, which will allow all those teaching colleagues who teach in schools, specializing in high-tech companies and our young volunteers in agriculture and MDA, to return to routine soon and continue their activities for society in Israel."
