GOING OUT IN PARIS - Mika is re-enchanting Paris with a dazzling new poster campaign that is balm in the heart. While Gainsbourg relives through the photographs at the Hegoa gallery. And Viallat adorns the walls of Templon.

Paris “was” a celebration ... We would love to be able to combine this aphorism again in the present tense!

In the meantime, even if the spring sun is early, the terraces, restaurants and museums remain desperately closed.

So, to liven up the streets of the capital, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and the City of Paris asked singer Mika to orchestrate an invigorating poster campaign.

Fresh and colorful, the designs by nine talented graphic designers adorn bus shelters, Morris columns and flag poles.

This carte blanche was given to rising figures such as Aurélia Durand, Alexandre Benjamin Navet and Ugo Gattoni.

Mika, himself, played the game by signing a poster with his sister Yasmine Penniman.

Thus renewing the long tradition of artistic posters of the Belle Époque, from Toulouse-Lautrec to Mucha.

So, we look up and admire these works throughout the month of March, which make Paris an ephemeral open-air gallery.
