The Anti-Narcotics Branch in Damascus arrested 14 traffickers, promoters, and drug users, and confiscated more than 9.5 kg of hashish in their possession.
In a statement, SANA received a copy of it today, the Ministry of Interior stated that the Narcotics Control Branch in Damascus, during the period between February 21 and March 6 this year, arrested 14 people, including dealers, promoters, and drug abusers, and more than nine kilograms and a half kilograms of substance were confiscated from them. The narcotic hashish and 498 narcotic tablets of the two types of "Captagon and Biogaplin".
In the details, the statement mentioned that the branch arrested 6 persons during their meeting in a house in Abu Nuri neighborhood for the purpose of purchasing and consuming narcotic substances, and confiscated in their possession 2 kilograms and 540 grams of narcotic hashish and 48 narcotic pills of the two types of "Captagon and Biogablin". It also arrested three persons in the corner of religion during their possession and promotion. 2.5 kilograms of narcotic hashish and an unlicensed electronic scale and gun was confiscated from the home of one of the arrested.
Among those arrested were a promoter and distributor of hashish and Captagon pills in Sahnaya, in possession of 2 kilograms of hashish and 450 Captagon pills, and two people in Jaramana during their possession and promotion of one kilogram and 353 grams of hashish, in addition to the arrest of two people with a quantity of hashish, one of whom was suspected of being stolen. .
The Ministry affirmed that all those arrested had been brought to the competent court and that the anti-narcotics branch patrols continued to pursue drug traffickers and promoters, uncover all those who were proven involved in this scourge, arrest him, and take legal measures against him.
