The education system will enter its biggest test on Monday - just over two and a half months are left until the end of the current school year, which was interrupted and conducted mainly remotely.

Tomorrow (Friday) the students will wake up for the last weekend of the Pesach holiday, after which they will return to regular learning in the form of a corona. Especially when it comes to middle and high school students.Just like before the Passover holiday, studies for fifth graders and up will continue to take place in capsule configuration and rotation over 2-2 days a week.

The Ministry of Education demands the immediate opening of the entire system for learning in full groups, in all localities and throughout the week, following the drastic drop in morbidity data.

But this demand is likely to meet with opposition from the Ministry of Health.

Minister Yoav Galant has previously promised to keep the education system open, but was forced to fold, and this time too a full opening of all educational institutions in the country seems like a big challenge.

Galant's future is also unclear for now, and the entire system could suffer another shock in the event a new government is formed soon;

If a new Minister of Education is appointed, he will be the fourth to sit in office for less than two years.

Now, with the possible return of the system to regular activity until the great freedom, new difficulties arise which have to be dealt with.

According to Dr. Adam the Israeli from the Faculty of Education at the Kibbutzim Seminary College, “The known gaps between different social groups have changed in nature.

Migration to school transferred the responsibility to the parents.

Schools have managed to maintain a very limited social and educational framework.

"The learning gaps created are the top challenge for every teacher. Today the system teaches all children the same material, at the same pace and in the same methods. The 21st century will be the century of personalization in education. As in medicine and social networks, schools will need to be customized. We will have to find ways for the students to adapt the system to the students. "

It is possible that the true peace of mind in the system, without isolation and capsules, can be achieved only after the 15-12 year olds have been vaccinated.

Yesterday, Prof. Ehud Davidson said that it is possible that Israel will start vaccinating children within a month: "There is no problem with inventory, we are waiting for FDA and Ministry of Health approval."

A senior official in the Ministry of Education told Israel Today that "if they ask us - we can send mobility and vaccinate students in schools. We did it with grades 11-12. It will be more effective to vaccinate in schools."
