Although Greece was opened to the entry of Israelis, it is already now, after a few weeks, in another quarantine.

According to estimates, as soon as it ends in about two weeks, the Greek tourism industry hopes that Israelis will flock to the country during the coming summer.

Starting June 26, a direct flight, about an hour and 50 minutes long, will take off once a week to the port city of Volos directly to the Pelion Peninsula.

The peninsula, which has become very popular with Israeli travelers in recent years, features a variety of attractions and activities, the main ones being the spectacular turquoise beaches that the area has to offer.

The Pelion Peninsula is a four-hour drive from Athens or two and a half hours from Thessaloniki, and is located in the northeastern part of Greece.

In the center of the peninsula rises to a height of 1,470 meters Mount Pelion, rich in breathtaking nature and green trees, rich in streams and natural springs that allow any home in the area to drink directly from the springs rich in minerals.

On the mountain and at its foot are picturesque villages rich in vines, lemon trees and apple orchards of the local variety, and of course taverns and orchards.

Philion is also known for its unique cuisine.

Along with Greece, holidays in Cyprus are also expected to be in demand.

Today (Monday) it was decided in Cyprus to turn Israel from a red state to an orange state.

The decision means that those who have not been vaccinated so far will be able to enter Cyprus through a negative corona test performed in the 72 hours prior to the flight.

Until now, only the vaccinated and children could enter the neighboring island, but now, even those who are not vaccinated will be able to vacation in Paphos, Larnaca and Ayia Napa.

It is important to mention that anyone who has not been vaccinated or recovered is obliged to be isolated upon his return to Israel.
