Occupied Jerusalem - SANA

The Palestinian Prisoners and Executives Affairs Authority has warned of the deterioration in the health of the two prisoners, Ihab Hajuj and Ashraf Abu Srour, as a result of the arbitrary practices of the Israeli occupation authorities against them, foremost of which is deliberate medical negligence.

Ma'an News Agency quoted the authority as saying in a statement ... that the prisoner Hajouj, who has been detained since 2014, has been suffering from pain due to a bulge in the left side of the rib cage for 3 years, from neck and spine pain, and difficulty in movement as a result of being tortured by the occupation forces.

The authority added ... that the prisoner Abu Sorour, who has been detained since 2001, suffers from losing all his teeth in the upper jaw, most of them in the lower jaw, and from severe gum infections, which leads to difficulty eating food, as well as stomach, pelvic, back pain, and vision problems.

The commission stated that the occupation authorities refrain from providing the necessary treatment to the two prisoners Hajuj and Abu Sorour, which poses a threat to their lives.

About 4,600 Palestinian prisoners inside the occupation prisons face harsh conditions of detention, as 1,800 of them suffer from multiple diseases due to the spread of epidemics, and among them about 700 prisoners need urgent treatment, especially cases of cancer, kidney failure and paraplegia.
