Pending a new shipment of vaccines, the City continues with a campaign focused one hundred percent to cover the immunization of
older adults
.
These days it is advancing with the application of first doses among the population over 70 years of age.

And although no one confirms
if there are vaccines to continue or if they will be finished,
everything seems to indicate that, if a new dose arrival is not confirmed,
the campaign could be interrupted.
Meanwhile,
those over 60
are anxiously awaiting registration and the granting of turns.
According to sources from the Buenos Aires Ministry of Health, they also depend on the arrival of more doses and "it could happen these days."
Advances in vaccination
From the Buenos Aires Ministry of Health they informed

that neighbors over 80 years old who registered and requested a shift had
already been vaccinated
.
Of course, there may be people who did not get vaccinated of their own accord;
or, people who had doubts at the beginning of the vaccination campaign.
In fact, the first day on which the registration of people over 75 began (March 29), 2,000 residents of +80 registered.

The fact that a new registration stage is enabled does not prevent those who are in the priority vaccination groups from
continuing to register.

nursing homes, they
confirmed that
all the residents of the 498 establishments located in the City had already been vaccinated

the workers of these residences are being vaccinated as medical personnel.
"The mobiles that were being used for tours of the residences are now being used to carry out home vaccination of older adults who cannot move from their homes," they clarified.
According to official data,
132,454 residents over 80
years old
were vaccinated
, out of a universe of just over 148,000 (according to project data from the Department of Statistics and Censuses).
What about the 70 to 79 age band?
According to the same project data,
there are almost 222,000
(the Ministry of Health estimates that there are just over 250,000).
As with the +80s, the vast majority of this group signed up to get vaccinated.
So far they received their dose 112,792.
The rest - according to Horacio Rodrigo Larreta in the press conference last week, where he announced the new restrictions -
should finish their vaccination in the next few days.
But the stock of vaccines is not unlimited: at this time the City has 25 thousand first doses that were delivered on Thursday, and another 26,000 that arrived on Friday.
With this amount plus any remainder that is received in the coming days
, progress will be made to complete the immunization of those registered.

500,000 doses on Sunday, April 4.
