The Paris prosecutor's office had opened a preliminary investigation on January 5 after the revelations of sexual assault and possibly rape involving the constitutionalist Olivier Duhamel against one of the Kouchner children. The aim was twofold: to shed light on the facts in order to discover possible new victims and to check the limitation periods.
