The world number one, Novak Djokovic, was eliminated in the knockout stages of the Masters 1000. The Serbian, who was counting on this tournament to make his mark for Roland-Garros (May 24-June 13), was released in two sets and after 2:06 of play by the Briton Daniel Evans (6-4, 7-5).
The latter will find David Goffin for a place in the last four.
