The announcement of the alleged intention of the American administration to withdraw its forces from Afghanistan is not new, as US President Joe Biden set the date for next May for this move, which many suspect to take place in the first place, to be postponed in a deliberate step until September, the date of the attacks on New York, while analysts confirm that this withdrawal should occur. It raises many questions, such as whether Washington is really content with the massive bloodshed and devastation it has made over two decades in Afghanistan, or is it aiming to redirect its military forces to a new front that was created by its recent escalation of hostility with Russia and China.

A senior Biden administration official confirmed to the American "Washington Post" newspaper, on condition of anonymity, that the American forces must withdraw from Afghanistan, and the reason is that the United States should move away from minor conflicts such as Afghanistan to more important strategic competitors such as Russia and China in addition to Iran and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. In a clear indication of the hostile approach the US administration is following in the footsteps of its predecessors.

The American "World Socialist" website described Biden’s choice of the final withdrawal date by September as an attempt to reinforce the old lie that Washington used to justify the invasion, which is the response to the September attacks, indicating that the reality is completely different if the plan to invade this country was premeditated before the date of its implementation.

Biden did not mention during his announcement of Washington's intention to withdraw its forces to the disastrous effects that the American occupation left on the Afghan people, including thousands of casualties and injuries, the destruction of the country's infrastructure, in addition to the theft of his assets, while the US President did not fail to mention that 2,300 American soldiers were killed in Afghanistan and that the United States spent two trillion. Dollars since the beginning of its conquest.

The "World Socialist" website pointed out that the official number that the United States disclosed to American soldiers in Afghanistan is 2,500 in addition to 6,500 other soldiers from NATO countries, but many reports indicate that the number of American soldiers is in fact 3,500 in addition to thousands. American personnel, including CIA agents, paramilitary, special forces, and mercenaries, all of whom will likely continue their operations with US support.
