The budget of the municipality of Böbing, which has 1877 inhabitants, amounts to just under five million euros this year.

It is around 570,000 euros below that of the previous year.

Because: The community expects significantly less income again this year because of the corona pandemic.

Böbing

- According to Mayor Peter Erhard, the Böbingen budget for 2021 is good, reliable and very modest in terms of expenditure.

This means that the community wants to limit itself to investments in the second Corona year that cannot be postponed.

“We only afford what is feasible.” The mayor calls this investment in the future.

In plain language, this means investments for young people and for Böbing's offspring in kindergarten as well as for municipal housing.

Robert Eder, the chairman of the Böbingen finance committee, expects significant losses this year due to the short-time work.

The ones from last year really had an impact this year.

The administrative budget amounts to 3.57 million euros and the property budget to 1.33 million euros.

However, the municipality is not lacking in spending: the district levy alone amounts to 54 percentage points 1.05 million euros and has thus exceeded the million mark for the first time.

It is 51,000 euros higher than in the previous year.

"The district levy is going up, the income tax is going down," said Eder.

When it comes to the district levy, the mayor and CSU parliamentary group leader Peter Erhart, as he says, have two hearts in his chest.

The district levy is discussed hard in the district council.

"But this money stays in the region and does not end up on the airfield in Berlin."

Another big chunk of expenditure is personnel costs with 822,000 euros including all social expenses.

For the maintenance of the community kindergarten, after taking into account the state subsidies and the parents' contributions, there are still 321,000 euros to be raised by the community.

For the development of the “Pischlach-Ammerblick II” building area, which has already been awarded, 348,000 euros are due.

Around 30,000 euros are earmarked for the conversion of the basement in the community kindergarten.

“We have renewed all floors of the kindergarten,” says the mayor happily.

All of these expenses would not be possible if there was no money in the till.

The municipality's share of income tax alone is 900,000 euros this year.

That is 50,000 euros less than in the previous year.

The promised key allocation from the state is 656,000 euros.

Treasurer Peter Vogt has carefully set the trade tax at 200,000 euros.

It is 167,000 euros for property taxes A and B.

As far as the community's reserves are concerned, they are currently still at EUR 958,000.

This year, too, still well above the commitment of 257,000 euros.

Three years ago it was 1.8 million that had to be looted because of the lavish investments.

Despite all this, the 1877 Böbinger still have a per capita credit of 373 euros.
