Damascus-Sana
With the aim of promoting the tourism sector and encouraging citizens to internal tourism during the Eid holiday, the Federation of Chambers of Tourism, in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism, launched an initiative to reduce prices in tourist and hotel facilities in a number of governorates during the Eid holiday.
The head of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Tourism, Engineer Talal Khudair, said in a statement to SANA that the initiative includes the governorates of “Damascus and its countryside, Aleppo, Latakia, Tartous, Hama and Homs,” and the discounted price list was issued for a number of private and public tourist establishments and hotels during the holiday period and according to the levels of tourist classification.
Khudair pointed out that the reductions in establishments and hotels range between 20 and 30 percent, indicating that the occupancy rate in some hotels in the coastal area has reached 100 percent, so these hotels have not been given any discounts.
Khudair pointed out that work is continuing to provide the best offers and discounts to attract the largest number of guests and visitors, stressing that we strive to provide better offers after the Eid holiday, calling on citizens to communicate with the licensed tourist offices in their governorates that organize domestic tourism trips that include transportation, accommodation and food at very reasonable prices.
