Two Palestinian prisoners are continuing their open hunger strike to protest against the ongoing crimes of the Israeli occupation against them.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club said in a statement reported by Wafa news agency today that the prisoner Imad Sawarka, 37, from Jericho, on hunger strike, for the 49th day in a row, is facing a difficult health situation, and the prisoner Alaa al-Rimawi, 43, from the city of Ramallah, strikes for the fifteenth day, suffers from severe pain throughout his body. And repeated episodes of loss of consciousness.
The club called on international human rights institutions to intervene urgently to save the lives of the prisoners and to release them.
Around 4,600 Palestinian prisoners inside the Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including 550 prisoners in need of urgent medical intervention.
