The workers put a lot of effort into the renovation work in the Schongauer Plantsch.
As reported, the aging slide is being dismantled and cut into pieces.
The cut parts are then loaded into containers and disposed of by the Schongau company Drosdz.
The original plan to give the parts of the slide to private individuals or interested institutions such as kindergartens or leisure facilities was discarded for insurance reasons.
The workers at the Swiss company Klarer, who are equipped with special protective suits and breathing apparatus, now cut the segments using flex and diamond cutting discs to save time and costs.
"Loosening the thousands of nuts and bolts would have been far too time-consuming," they said.
