Dr. Buthaina Shaaban, the Special Adviser in the Presidency of the Republic, confirmed that Syria fought a double war, the first of which was human and the other was media, through a campaign launched by the Western media, which lost its credibility.
Dr. Shaaban revealed in an intervention during her participation in a video conference organized by the German Schiller Research Institute entitled (A New Model for the Moral Collapse of the Atlantic World) about leaked British documents proving that the United Kingdom funded groups of Syrians calling themselves (eyewitnesses) and that Western governments were practicing Pressure on Syrian officials to defect from the state.
Dr. Shaaban said that all the destruction, death and displacement that befell Syria was behind Western intelligence institutions, which, in cooperation with Turkey, trained thousands of terrorists to achieve a single goal of destroying Syria, stressing that the Western powers were and are still dealing with Syria as still under its colonization, ignoring its deep-rooted history and values. .
Dr. Shaaban thanked all the efforts made to lift the economic sanctions on Syria, which were classified as crimes against humanity.
Most of the speakers during the conference emphasized that the unilateral sanctions imposed on Syria amount to a war crime and that they contradict Christian and Islamic values as well as prove that the West's claim of its keenness on democracy and human rights has no value, despite its silence on these sanctions and its cooperation in imposing them on the Syrian people.
Also participating in the conference discussions were Helga LaRouche, President of the Institute, Senator Richard Black from the United States, Dr. Hans Kuchler, Professor of Political Science at the University of Austria, and researchers and thinkers from Austria, France, America, Japan and Germany.
