The Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health announced that as of 0:00 on May 14, there was one new confirmed case in Hong Kong. So far, the cumulative number of cases in Hong Kong has increased to 11,819 (including 11,818 confirmed cases and one suspected case).
The new case is the 11819th case. The patient is a 43-year-old man with no symptoms and came to Hong Kong from the UAE.
Arriving in Hong Kong by flight EK384 on May 12 is an imported case. He has no vaccination record and no N501Y or L452R variant virus.
In addition, there are less than 5 preliminary confirmed cases in Hong Kong today.

In the case of an imported case from France (the 11817th case) announced yesterday, the Department of Health stated that the patient was a Hong Kong resident and was unemployed during the incubation period and the infectious period.
A total of 47 cases were reported in the past 14 days (April 30 to May 13), including 9 local cases, one of which is of unknown origin.
