Schwabhausen / Bergkirchen - There were two seriously injured people in an accident with a motorcycle in Schwabhausen. On Thursday around 10:39 a.m. in Schwabhausen on State Road 2051 at the confluence with the village of Lindach, there was a serious traffic accident between a Fiat Punto and a BMW motorcycle. The 66-year-old motorist from Erdweg was driving in the direction of Oberroth when the 61-year-old motorcyclist from Dachau wanted to turn left onto the state road when coming from Lindach.
According to the police, the 61-year-old possibly overlooked the car on the right of way road, and an accident occurred.
Both parties involved in the accident were seriously injured and taken to various hospitals by helicopter.
The state road was completely closed for about three hours to record the accident, and an expert was called to the site of the accident.
The two vehicles were towed for investigation.
There was property damage of around 9200 euros.
At around 3:35 p.m. there was also an accident in Bergkirchen on Thursday with a slightly injured small motorcycle driver from Dachau.
The 70-year-old was driving his Piaggio moped on Brucker Strasse in a westerly direction.
An 83-year-old from Dachau was driving his Opel Astra on Kanalstrasse in the direction of Brucker Strasse.
At the intersection with Brucker Strasse, he wanted to turn left into it and overlooked the Piaggio driver who had the right of way.
The 70-year-old fell in the collision and was injured moderately.
He was taken to the hospital by the ambulance service.
There was also property damage estimated at 2000 euros.
