The mass shootings that took place in Ohio, Texas and Illinois within 12 hours, according to the police, killed 4 people and injured 26 others, some of them in critical condition, and shed more light on a serious crisis sweeping American society under the guise of freedoms and delusions planted by certain profit-seeking lobbies and politicians greedy for wealth and power, so the pretext of the right to bear arms was transformed into an open license to kill, guaranteed by the constitution.
The Armed Violence Archive, which specializes in counting incidents related to gun violence, has counted, according to the American website Axios, seven mass shootings in the United States since last Friday, killing one person and wounding seven others in Savannah, Georgia, and one dead and three injured in North Carolina, in addition to Five injuries in Dallas, Texas, three dead and two injured in Seattle, Washington, while a new incident that occurred yesterday in Cleveland, Ohio, was added to the mass shootings, with three people killed and three others injured.
While Democrats are pushing to pass amendments to gun ownership laws that many Americans consider “a right guaranteed by the Constitution, and the Second Amendment in particular,” Republicans are pushing in the opposite direction and opposing any changes under the pretext of preserving individual freedoms that have been transformed by illusions associated with modern liberalism into a fatal freedom that kills on the Americans and push them to kill each other.
Republicans' insistence on promoting the right to own individual guns was evident after Texas lawmakers ratified a few weeks ago a bill that would allow most people to carry guns without a prior license, and an American citizen could buy a gun at retail stores or from home websites with ease.
With the transformation of arms and ammunition manufacturers into real lobbies, the laws and decision-makers in the United States are subject to their orders, the controversy that recurs whenever Americans wake up to a new mass shooting crime will remain in formal terms, given that the victory always ends in favor of the direct beneficiaries of companies and influencers who unite them with Money and power are a strong relationship that made carrying American arms a profitable death trade.
