The Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health announced that as of 0:00 today (6th), it is investigating a newly confirmed case, which is an imported case and arrived in Hong Kong from Russia.

So far, there have been 11,945 cases in Hong Kong.

In addition, a 25-year-old female staff member of the U.S. Consulate General in Hong Kong tested positive. After admission, the antibody test was positive. The sample did not carry any variant virus. There are suspected cases outside of Fuyang. The Hong Kong side is following up with the U.S. health authorities. The epidemic The academic investigation is still continuing.

The new case is an imported case, a 56-year-old man who arrived in Hong Kong from Russia.

So far, there have been 11,945 cases in Hong Kong, including 11,944 confirmed cases and 1 suspected case.

In addition, the Center for Health Protection is investigating a suspected case of Fuyang, involving a 25-year-old female patient who arrived in Hong Kong in March this year and is a staff member of the US Consulate General in Hong Kong.

The patient took a sample on July 4 and tested positive and showed no symptoms. After admission, the test result was negative, and the antibody test was positive.

The test results also showed that the samples did not contain N501Y or L452R mutant virus strains.

The center’s preliminary investigation data showed that the patient was diagnosed in the United States in January this year. After reviewing the case’s epidemiological data, clinical data and laboratory results, the center concluded that the case was consistent with the Fuyang case.

The center is following up with the US health authorities, and the epidemiological investigation is continuing.
