Various products for about 45 small and micro projects for handicrafts have been collected by the handicraft and traditional industries exhibition that opened yesterday in the hall of the tourist hotel in the city of As-Suwayda.

The exhibition, which is held by the branch of the regional office of the Arab Federation for Productive Families and Crafts and Traditional Industries in Syria in As-Suwayda, lasts for three days from nine in the morning until nine in the evening, and represents the first activities of the branch in parallel with its launch in As-Suwayda Governorate, as indicated by the director of the branch, Rima Taliah.

During her interview with SANA reporter, Taliah pointed out the importance of the exhibition to show the handicrafts and traditional and heritage crafts in the governorate, with the aim of reviving the local product in the service of the national economy and supporting owners of small and micro enterprises to launch them from the local to the international arena.

According to the Director of the Regional Office of the Arab Union for Productive Families, Handicrafts and Traditional Industries in Syria, Rami Qasqas, the As-Suwayda branch is the first branch of the office in Syria due to the successful experiences of families in it in establishing small projects, which will be supported in all ways by training and professionalism, creating markets for their products and raising their quality through international partnership And the strategy of the office with international quality raising companies.

During the exhibition’s interview with SANA’s reporter, Iqbal Zayed Azzam mentioned how, two months ago, she founded a micro-project to produce all kinds of dryers, jams and chocolate manually, while Hend Heneidy displayed a group of straw pots, where she found an invitation to revive the heritage of ancestors and re-work this profession that bears creative aspects. and aesthetic.

Anaam Abu Samra, who presented burlap bags, wool shawls and other handicrafts in the exhibition, found an opportunity to present her manual production and her ideas in a way that supports her project from the material and moral aspects.

Samia Al-Safadi indicated that the exhibition represented an opportunity for her to introduce the vegetable mortadella product extracted from sprouted grains in a way that supports the dissemination of nutritional awareness towards the products, while Elham Abu Murra expressed her satisfaction with her work in recycling fabrics instead of destroying them in order to produce bags, table covers, clothes and canvas paintings.

According to the two young men, Yazan Al-Moneim and Dina Naim, who share a small project for the manufacture of toys, clothes and handicrafts, their participation in the exhibition gains the importance of benefiting from people's opinions and knowing the extent of their desires and keeping pace with their needs through prices that serve the current difficult economic conditions.
