The 98 high school graduates stepped onto the stage in two rounds one after the other on Friday afternoon. The students were allowed to choose in advance whether they want to be there at the first or second award. There were also restrictions on the number of accompanying persons: only two accompanying persons per high school graduate were allowed. And so the young people sat in the auditorium between mother and father, brother and mother or sister and friend.
In advance, the parents' council had creatively dealt with the transfer of certificates as contact-free as possible. “When you first went to school twelve years ago, you had a school cone with you,” said Chairwoman Ruth Forrester, holding up a handicraft bag. “Today, after a two-year final spurt, you will be given a school cone again.” This time, however, it is not filled with candy and pens, but with the Abitur certificate and the Abitur medal from the parents' council.
"Crazy, we really did it," said stage spokesman Leo Oppermann to his classmates in the audience. Despite the joy of what he has achieved, the high school graduate could not resist a swipe at the minister of education over the past two years: “I have to praise Mr Piazolo, because he managed to make me trust the weather forecast more than the next school Week, ”said Oppermann.
