The Buenos Aires governor, Axel Kicillof, announced that the Province of Buenos Aires will begin to apply a

health pass

for those vaccinated against the coronavirus and decreed the opening of the registration to vaccinate minors between 13 and 17 years old with comorbidities.

In addition, the

Greater Buenos Aires

(GBA that synergizes with the AMBA) passes from Monday 26 to

Phase 4

, which implies an expansion of the capacity allowed in closed places.

And he announced "free vaccine" in the Province for those over 18 years of age in 79 districts.

And in the rest of the territory, released without shifts for those over 30.

And he detailed that the amounts are increased: if before for that epidemiological phase 50% of

capacity

was allowed

, now it

will reach 70%

with the incorporation of the difference for people vaccinated with at least one dose against the coronavirus.

The provincial president led a press conference together with the Minister of Health, Daniel Gollán, and the chief of staff,

Carlos Bianco

, in which they referred to the epidemiological situation due to the coronavirus and discussed the

new measures for the province

.

In the Golden Room of the Government House, in La Plata, Kicillof announced that "the incidence of cases in the 40 districts of the GBA has fallen below 250 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, which means that the AMBA goes to phase 4 ",

"New activities are being enabled throughout the region according to our system of phases. It also includes capacity in different types of establishments. This is a goal that we have met, which is eight consecutive weeks of reduction in the number of cases since the peak we had in the March wave, "insisted the governor.

As he analyzed, all the efforts that were made and all the limitations and postponements "resulted in a reduction in cases."

"What allows us today a pass to phase 4 that was a goal," he said.

Free vaccination for people over 18 years of age

In another part of the press conference, Kicillof added 10 municipalities to which 95 percent of those registered had already been vaccinated.

They are Coronel Dorrego, Bolívar, Lincoln, Trenque Lauquen, Chascomús, Ramallo, Exaltación de la Cruz, Lobos, Patagones and Saavedra.

In this way, there are already 79 Buenos Aires parties in which free vaccination is opened for those over 18 years of age.

In the rest of the Province the application process was freed up even more.

From now on it will be for people over 30 years old.

Registration of adolescents with comorbidities

Referring to the vaccination of adolescents with comorbidities, he said that there are two candidate producers for minors: Moderna and Sinopharm.

"In the case of Sinopharm, it is already being applied in their country of origin to those under 18 years of age, but it is not yet approved here," Kicillof said.

And he continued with the announcement: "As of today we open the registration for boys and girls between 13 and 17 years old, especially those with comorbidities. It can be done by web page or by application. We still do not have vaccines enabled, but we are preparing to design the logistics of vaccination when we have the approval. "

Although they are still awaiting approval, he highlighted the progress as "tremendously important."

"It is tremendously important for us, it is a population that has less risk. We need to vaccinate the whole. But we are interested in starting this process for those who have a disease and are a population at risk," analyzed the Buenos Aires president.
