Homs, SANA- The activities of the Citadel and Valley Festival 2021 will be launched tomorrow, which will be held by the Governorate of Homs and the Ministries of Tourism and Culture

Tomorrow, the activities of the Castle and Wadi Festival 2021, which will be held by the Governorate of Homs and the Ministries of Tourism and Culture, will be launched in the Wadi al-Nadarah region in the Homs countryside, under the title “Victory Celebration” and includes many cultural, sports and artistic activities.

The three-week events range from book and film fairs, a car race, a paragliding festival, theatrical performances, a bicycle race, poetry gatherings, and exhibitions of rural and heritage products.

Engineer Ahmed Akash, director of Homs Tourism, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the festival will start tomorrow evening in Qal'at al-Hosn Square with a big concert by the Homs Culture Directorate's orchestra led by Hassan al-Labbad. The ceremony precedes the opening of the Syrian and Russian Film Week.

Akash indicated that the festival will last for three weeks on intermittent days, as events will be held at the end of each week with the aim of all people being able to attend its activities on their days off.

Akash pointed out that what distinguishes the festival this year, in addition to the sports, cultural and artistic activities, is the paragliding that will be launched from the valley square and over the fortress castle, which will take place for the first time at the level of Syria, as well as the drift race “Syrian Automobile Club” which will take place for the first time in the valley and will be in The car park in the castle of the fort.

Akash explained that the festival will be held on the 24-25-29-30-31 of this month, in addition to the 5th and 6th of next August, where the closing will be with the artist Linda Bitar and her band led by Maestro Adnan Fathallah.
