The Sayed Darwish Orchestra performed an evening entitled “Music and Songs from the World,” the music of Rashid Hilal, with the participation of the guest conductor, Maestro Misak Baghboudrian, and hosted by the Drama Theater at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.
The evening toured through its diverse program in the eastern Arab heritage, simulating the Syrian, Egyptian, Iraqi, Andalusian and Levant heritage, in which young academic singers, Heba Fahemeh, Hala Trad, Al-Yasar Al-Saad, Rayan Jarira, Julian Khoury and Roger Laham participated.
Among the songs presented by the orchestra from the Syrian heritage are “Ya Qamar” and “Yamaila”, and from the Egyptian heritage “Salam Ali” and “Shorouk”, and from the Iraqi heritage “Disney” and from the Andalusian heritage “Ya Ghasn Naqi and Na’oura” as well as instrumental musical pieces to conclude the evening with an Arabic cocktail " partially cloudy".
It is noteworthy that this orchestra was founded by the musician Rachid Hilal in 2007 and was named after the people’s artist Sayed Darwish, following the example of his art and in honor of his works and in order to achieve development in music and create what is new, taking into account that the melodies remain palatable and close to people’s taste. A critic, patriotism, heritage and people's music. The orchestra also includes the Atheer band, which is interested in pure music.
