Dr. Issam Zakaria Al-Amin, Director General of Al-Mouwasat University Hospital in Damascus, confirmed that the epidemiological curve of Corona is currently at its minimum, as the number of confirmed cases of HIV infection in the hospital during the month of July did not exceed two cases per day, unlike what happened in the third peak during the months of March and April last, which was the hospital It receives 70 cases per day.

Dr. Al-Amin said in a statement to SANA that the total number of positive cases infected with the virus and accepted in the hospital is currently 14, distributed among isolation and care rooms, indicating that the epidemiological curve of Corona, which has flattened since the beginning of last May, has continued to decline gradually until today in terms of the reviewed suspected cases. The emergency department and the number of people admitted to the isolation and special care rooms in the hospital.

The director of the hospital reiterated that no signs or numbers of a fourth peak of the epidemic appeared, and that in the event of any change in the current situation and an increase in the number of injuries and suspected cases, the exceptional procedures would be returned to the hospital, which includes the largest emergency system in Syria and 36 medical divisions in various specialties.

With regard to giving the vaccine against Corona to health cadres, Al-Amin explained that 2,200 health cadres were vaccinated at Al-Mowasat Hospital and other university hospitals, Al-Biruni, obstetrics, heart surgery and children, noting that the vaccination process also includes students of the Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University who wish to do so.

The director of the hospital confirmed that the anti-Corona vaccines approved by the World Health Organization cover all current mutations, and the treatment approach is the same with regard to the type of viral mutation.

According to the latest statistics of the Ministry of Health, the total number of Corona injuries recorded in Syria so far has reached 26,044, of which 22019 have been cured and 1919 cases have died.
