Homs firefighting cadres put out a fire that broke out in a fuel tanker loaded with gasoline due to its deterioration on the Homs-Damascus international road near the industrial city of Hasiya.
Brigadier General Hassan Ammar, commander of the Homs Fire Brigade, told SANA reporter that the firefighting forces of the regiment, the Civil Defense, the Homs Refinery and the Al-Mateen Company were able to put out the fire that broke out in the tanker.
In turn, a source at the Public Roads Police Station in Hassia explained that the cause of the deterioration of the tanker was the explosion of the front wheel, which led to its deterioration and overturning, indicating that the driver was taken to the hospital for treatment and to secure the road.
The Homs firefighting cadres had put out two days ago a fire that broke out in a tanker loaded with gasoline, which deteriorated near Tal Kalakh on the Homs-Tartous international road.
