The police said that they received a report from the relevant department on the 26th of last month, stating that two overseas postal packets were found to contain a speargun each.
Officers from the Criminal Division of the Airport Police District took over the case. After investigation, two local men aged 46 and 52 were arrested in Yuen Long and Wong Tai Sin yesterday (12) for possession of firearms without a license.
The two arrested men have been released on bail pending further investigation and reported to the police in mid-September.
