Four injuries and a high level of property damage: This is the result of a serious rear-end collision that occurred on Monday afternoon on the B318 / Kreuzstrasse in Gmund.

- As reported by the Bad Wiessee police station, a 58-year-old from Rottach-Egern was waiting around 3:20 p.m. with his VW Golf at the red light in the direction of Tegernsee.
Behind him stood a 69-year-old Canadian with his Fiat 500 with his 66-year-old wife in the passenger seat, followed again by a 54-year-old from Rottach-Egern with her VW Golf.
A 20-year-old warning man then overlooked the end of the traffic jam with his truck, drove onto the last vehicle and pushed it onto the three cars in front of it.
All four inmates suffered minor to moderate injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals.
According to initial estimates, the property damage amounts to around 33,000 euros.
The main road was completely closed for about 45 minutes due to the accident.
