On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of breaking the siege on the city of Deir ez-Zor, the governorate of Deir ez-Zor held a celebration entitled “The Monastery of Men, an Icon of Victory and Resilience”, which included a photo exhibition and the presentation of the documentary film “The Lean Thousand” and poems in honor of a number of the families of the martyrs and the wounded.
A member of the Executive Office for Cultural Affairs, Mudhi Muhaimed, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the event comes to celebrate a great memory for all the people of the province who remember this day with more pride and pride for the great achievement made by the men of the Syrian Arab Army, whether they persevered and defended the soil of Deir ez-Zor or those who cut hundreds of soldiers. The ceremony was attended by the governor of Deir Ezzor, Fadel Najjar, the secretary of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party branch, Raed Al-Ghadban, the provincial police chief, Major General Bilal Mahmoud, and a number of officers of the Syrian Arab Army.
