Three of his accomplices were convicted after attacking a business owner in the city and robbing him of NIS 100,000 • The suspect fled the scene and has since been declared wanted for questioning • He is in a hiding place in Petah Tikva, where large quantities of marijuana were also seized

A prosecutor's statement was filed today (Thursday) against a 33-year-old resident of Rishon Lezion, on suspicion of taking part in a robbery that occurred two years ago, when three of his accomplices were already convicted of committing the act.

The prosecution plans to file an indictment against him soon.

The suspect apparently fled the scene, and has since been declared necessary for interrogation with a court arrest warrant against him at all times.

In September 2019, the business owner in Rishon Lezion was robbed when the robbers attacked him and snatched a bag containing the weekly revenue, about NIS 100,000 in cash.

At the conclusion of the investigation, prior to filing the plaintiff's statement against the fourth suspect, indictments were filed against three suspects for aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime and they were convicted.

Since the robbery, police investigators have continued in many attempts to locate the suspect who escaped and has since been on the run. About a week ago, following information received at the station, investigators were able to track down the suspect and in the operational activities of the station's detectives and other forces, he was arrested in a hiding place in Petah Tikva. In the possession of the suspect, marijuana-type drugs weighing one kilogram were seized.
