A 40-year-old construction worker was killed today (Friday) after being hit by a heavy object that fell from a crane at a construction site on Pinkas Street in Kiryat Ono.
The MDA team that was called to the scene determined his death.
"The wounded man, who suffered severe injuries to his body, was unconscious," said MDA personnel, Tomer Guzman and Hanania Seidel.
"We gave him medical treatment and performed resuscitation but his injury was fatal, and in the end we had to determine his death."
Police said they had opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident, and that a representative of the Ministry of Labor had been called to the scene.
