A source in the terrorist organizations in Gaza told the Palestinian newspaper Al-Ayyam this morning (Saturday) that Israel had withdrawn from the condition of ending the issue of a prisoner exchange deal in exchange for the lifting of restrictions on the Gaza Strip and its rehabilitation.
According to the report, the source said that in recent days a series of restrictions on the Gaza Strip have been lifted, including the possibility of importing construction materials and other materials that Israel has prevented from entering the Strip so far.
He said these measures had led to calm on the Gaza border in recent days.
The source added that the mediators had recently informed Hamas and the terrorist organizations that Israel had returned from the condition of tying up the return of the boys to the Gaza Strip, which constituted an "obstacle" in his words to achieving security peace.
In light of this, the source said that the terrorist organizations gave the mediators an opportunity to put pressure on Israel to remove the rest of the restrictions.
Meanwhile, the source claimed that negotiations on a prisoner exchange deal were halted following the escape of security prisoners from Gilboa Prison.
