Authorities in the border city of Del Rio, Texas, say they have managed to control the flow of immigrants crossing into the United States on the Rio Grande.

But the high temperatures and precarious conditions under the international bridge that connects the city with Mexico exacerbate the situation for the thousands of people already there.
