Among those polled who consider themselves ideologically close to the right, 63% consider him capable of defeating the President of the Republic, against only 11% for Michel Barnier and 8% for Valérie Pécresse.

They also consider that he is the most able to beat the candidate who will represent Europe-Ecology-The Greens (69%), the socialist Anne Hidalgo (66%), Marine Le Pen (69%) or even Jean-Luc Mélenchon (66%).

In all, 55% of those questioned also consider that none of the right-wing candidates can beat the incumbent president.
