The scientific researcher at the World Health Organization, Somya Swaminathan, announced that the organization is counting on the adoption of the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine against the Corona virus, after completing some procedures, describing this vaccine as “very good.”
The researcher told Sputnik, “There are some legal documents that must be signed by both parties before continuing the process of evaluating the vaccine for emergency use by the World Health Organization,” adding that “the Russian authorities confirmed that the documents will be signed soon, and when that is done, which is what we are waiting for, the process of evaluating the file will be resumed. Resuming dialogue and then planning to send an inspection committee.”
Swaminathan indicated that it is very likely that the inspection will take place before the end of this year and the completion of the vaccine approval process.
