Despite a large number of emergency services, a search for missing persons on Wednesday (October 13) in the Mangfall Valley remained unsuccessful until the evening.
A 58-year-old Weyarner drove away in his van, and the family reported him missing shortly after noon.

is missing. A large contingent of emergency services was looking for the 58-year-old in the Mangfall Valley between Thalham and Weyarn on Wednesday afternoon (October 13). The search continued into the evening hours, but has so far been unsuccessful. The Holzkirchen police are now hoping for clues from the population.
As Johann Brandhuber, head of the Holzkirchen police station, announced on Wednesday evening, Kargl was reported missing by his family in the early afternoon.
The 58-year-old had apparently left his house in Weyarn at noon.
He got into his van and drove off in an unknown direction.
According to Brandhuber, the van of the missing person was later found on the Mangfall, not far from Thalham (Weyarn municipality) and at the foot of the Taubenberg.
Since then, there has been no trace of the missing person.
Rescue workers from the water rescue service, the BRK and the technical relief organization (THW) moved out at around 1:45 p.m.
In addition, a police helicopter circled over the area in question.
Troops of search dogs were also deployed in the Mangfall area.
“It is still unclear where the missing person is,” says Brandhuber.

According to the relatives, Günther Kargl likes to stay in the mountains.
He is noticeably tall at 1.93 meters, has a slim, athletic figure and wears gray-blonde, curly hair.
He is probably dressed in jeans and a green softshell jacket.
The missing person is wearing glasses.
According to reports, he also took some climbing equipment with him.
As Brandhuber explains, an accident cannot be ruled out due to personal problems.
