A car driver crashed his car head-on into a bridge pillar near Gottmadingen (Konstanz district) and was killed.
As the police announced on Thursday, the 49-year-old man died at the scene of the accident.
"A medical cause for the accident cannot be ruled out," it says in a message.
Gottmadingen - Accordingly, the man was on the district road 6144 between Gottmadingen and Eringen (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district) on Wednesday when he turned right off the lane, drove over the green strip and crashed head-on against the bridge pillar of the motorway underpass.
As a police spokeswoman said, the investigation is still ongoing.
