Ebrard reaffirms his intention to seek the presidency of Mexico in 2024

The Secretary of Foreign Relations of Mexico, Marcelo Ebrard, confirmed this Wednesday that when the time comes he will present himself as a candidate for the ruling party to seek the presidency in 2024.

In a telephone interview with journalist Joaquín López-Dóriga, from Radio Fórmula in Mexico, Ebrard said that the search for that candidacy is part of his future plans and that when the time comes he will present himself for the Morena party.

"Of course I am interested and it is something that has been my life commitment. No way for me to say no, but I ask you to be clear that what we have to do today is to carry out our responsibilities and in two years, when we will call to participate, we will be there, "said Ebrard.

In July, during one of his morning conferences, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador included Ebrard among those who, in his opinion, could be part of the list of presidential candidates for 2024. The foreign minister recalled during the radio interview that on that occasion thanked López Obrador for his gesture.
