The number of new founders rose in the first eight months of the current year by 272 compared to the same period in the previous year to 2072, as the State Office for Statistics announced on Thursday in Erfurt.
While 14.7 percent of these women founded their businesses in the field of services such as hairdressing and cosmetic salons, 30.3 percent dared to take the step into self-employment in the field of trade, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles.
