Corona rapid tests have not been free for a few days.
According to the industry association Dehoga, cafes and restaurants are already feeling this in isolated cases - but there is still no trend.
Hanover - The hospitality industry in Lower Saxony is already feeling the end of the free corona rapid tests in isolated cases.
"Restaurateurs have already signaled that they have fewer guests," said the managing director of the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (Dehoga) Lower Saxony, Renate Mitulla, of the German Press Agency.
The restaurateurs reported that guests who had previously come to the establishments with a negative corona test now stayed away.
However, these are still only individual reports.
A precise trend cannot yet be identified, said Mitulla.
This will only be possible in a few weeks.

Authority: 1150 companies are already using the 2G model
According to the health authority, 1150 companies in Hamburg have completely switched to the 2G model in the corona pandemic.
"There is still a positive response," said a spokesman for the German press agency on Friday.
Many companies wanted to convert completely in the coming weeks and months.
"That is expressly in our sense - the access model is an option, from the Senate's point of view a good option, but not a mandatory one."

Rapid tests no longer free of charge: Impact on Thuringia
The time of the free corona rapid tests will soon be over.
What does that mean in Thuringia for test centers, pharmacies - and the wallet of those tested?
Rapid tests no longer free of charge: Impact on Thuringia
The so-called citizen tests have not been free for most people in Germany since last Monday.
If you need a quick test, carried out by trained staff, to go to a restaurant or to enter the cinema, you usually have to pay for the certificate yourself.
The tests remain free for people who cannot be vaccinated.
According to Dehoga, restaurants and hotels in Lower Saxony apply the 2G and 3G rule in roughly equal proportions.
At 2G, access is only possible for vaccinated and convalescent people.
Guests with negative test results are also welcome at 3G.
In counties and urban districts where the incidence is below 50 and no warning level applies, catering establishments can decide for themselves whether to impose 2G, 3G or no restrictions at all.
From an incidence of 50 or warning level 1, the 3G rule is mandatory.
