Weyarn - Two cows that were grazing next to the A8 triggered a police operation on Sunday morning.
According to officials, several concerned drivers had reported the animals around 9.45 a.m. shortly after the driveway towards Munich.
The animals no longer had a protective fence between them and the road, only the guardrail separated them from the cars speeding by.
The police were able to quickly assign the animals to their owner.
The farmer went out with a police escort to catch them.
With a rope he caught the cows within a quarter of an hour and brought them back to his pasture.
Since the cows stayed behind the guardrail the entire time, they did not hinder the traffic.
According to the police, there were also no dangerous situations.
