Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah warned that some Lebanese parties are trying to drag Lebanon into a civil war to serve US and Israeli agendas, stressing the need to be patient and insightful to miss the opportunity for them.
Sayyed Nasrallah stressed in a televised speech today, broadcast by Al-Manar TV, that the army institution is the only guarantee to preserve Lebanon's sovereignty and unity, referring to the plan of some of the American and Israeli supporters to cause a clash between the resistance and the Lebanese army.
Sayyed Nasrallah also affirmed the resistance's readiness to defend Lebanon and its sovereignty, and said that the military structure of Hezbollah includes 100,000 trained, organized and experienced fighters... We have prepared them to defend our land, our oil and our gas, which is being stolen before our eyes, and to protect the dignity and sovereignty of our country from all aggression and terrorism, not to internal fighting.
In the case of the Beirut port explosion, Sayyed Nasrallah said: "We are very keen to know the truth because we are concerned. There are martyrs and wounded, and there are neighborhoods that have been destroyed... Therefore, we will not withdraw for a moment from the file as a real political responsibility."
