Bad news for the Kinsau clubs: The old multi-purpose hall has to be demolished before the new building can begin.

It will therefore not be possible to operate a gym at all for a long time.

Kinsau

- As is well known, the community of Kinsau would like to build a new village community center, as the old multi-purpose hall has significant defects.

The new building was supposed to be built right behind the old hall.

But now the community has to change its plans again: The new building must now go exactly where the old one still stands.

It would have been so nice: First build a new village community center, then tear down the old hall.

That would have been the plans of the municipality of Kinsau, which should give the clubs uninterrupted use of the hall.

Nothing will come of that now: Because the proposed location for the new building is too close to the water protection area.

The municipality had therefore already applied for a special permit in order to keep the desired location: But this was not granted, as was now known in the municipal council meeting.

First demolish before a new building can be built

Therefore, the community is now pursuing an alternative solution: The new village community center is to be built where the old hall is.

As a result, the old hall naturally has to be demolished before the new building can begin - and the clubs will be virtually homeless during the construction phase.

Mayor Marco Dollinger regrets this very much, as some of the hall users will then be temporarily unable to participate in the association.

This applies in particular to gymnasts and the shooting club: Dollinger said he did not know where else they should practice their sport.

An alternative space could only be found for the musicians.

The construction period could drag on for one and a half to two years.

Implement plans quickly

Nonetheless: The new plans for the village community center are now being implemented quickly: At the latest municipal council meeting, the modified building application for the alternative location had already been submitted and was unanimously approved.

Overall, the project will cost around five million euros minus the expected grants.

The municipality calculates a higher subsidy from the village renewal.

According to Dollinger, the approval will still be awaited - the municipality cannot set a schedule for the construction beforehand.

Rooms that can be shared by clubs

A 220 square meter event hall will be built on the ground floor of the new village community center, which can accommodate up to 199 people.

For the clubs, shared rooms are provided in the house: a large club room and two rehearsal rooms.

Each club also has its own storage room.

A shooting range is planned for the rifle club in the basement.

The building is heated by a wood chip heater, which is housed in the basement of the school building.

The heating will then not only provide warmth to the village community center and the school building, but will also heat the kindergarten and town hall at the same time.

The school's old oil heating system is being removed.

In this way, the municipality also wants to make a contribution to climate protection.

Parking spaces are planned to the north of the new village community center.

With regard to the rejected exemption, which had been applied for by the municipality, Dollinger said: The municipality was certain that the new building would not have affected the water protection area.

“We wouldn't do anything that would endanger our protected area,” underlined Dollinger.
