After the previous chairwoman Irina Kronner announced her withdrawal for professional reasons, the VdK local association Pliening now has a new chairwoman.

Pliening - The VdK local association Pliening has a new chairwoman: Angelika Diefenthaler.

She succeeds Irina Kronner, who resigned her position for professional reasons.

Diefenthaler was unanimously elected in the new board elections at the general meeting, as were all other board members.

In his welcoming address, Mayor Roland Frick thanked the social association VdK Pliening for its commitment and emphasized that community life could no longer be imagined without him.

He praised Angelika Diefenthaler, who was already doing valuable and important work as the senior citizen and handicapped representative of the local council.

Both offices predestine the councilor for the chairmanship of the VdK local association, writes secretary Georg Rittler in his report to the annual general meeting.


Pliening's mayor thanks and praises

At the VdK district manager Manuela Lippold spoke about actions and topics in the district association and beyond.

With 2.1 million members, the VdK is the largest community of solidarity nationwide, in Bavaria it has 750,000 members, 200,000 of them in Upper Bavaria and 5800 of them in the district of Ebersberg and 204 in Pliening.

As Secretary Rittler explains, the new board will soon discuss the further program in a first meeting.

The date for the Christmas party has already been set: December 11th at the Hotel Poinger Hof.
