The police stopped a driver who was drunk and caused two accidents near Thiendorf (Meißen district).
Officials found the man after a witness reference between Thiendorf and Welxande, as the police announced on Friday.
They found that the man had an alcohol intake of 2.8 per thousand and did not have a driver's license.
Thiendorf - The 50-year-old lost control of his car in a first accident on Thursday and crashed into a motorway bridge.
Then he drove on and rammed a traffic light.
He then left his car and left the scene of the accident without permission on foot.
He now has to answer for endangering road traffic, escaping an accident and driving without a driver's license.
