With an exception regulation, Lower Saxony wants to shorten the pandemic-related waiting times for driving license tests again. The Ministry of Transport announced in Hanover on Monday that the TÜV Nord, which is responsible for the acceptance of driving license tests, has received approval to deploy additional staff. Until mid-2022, not only the responsible inspectors and experts can take the theoretical test, but also TÜV employees who otherwise take care of vehicle tests.
Hanover - "We want to help improve the situation in order to quickly get back to the normal time level for exams," said Transport Minister Bernd Althusmann (CDU).
Many learner drivers would often have had to be very patient due to the corona situation.
The employees who are now allowed to take additional exams must have at least five years of professional experience and are specially trained.
