Jewish organizations representing the families of the victims of the two terrorist attacks in the 1990s appealed to the judicial system to reverse the decision not to accuse the former president of covering up the investigation into terrorist acts.

A number of Jewish organizations have appealed the court's decision to acquit former state leader Christina Kirchner (2015-2006), who was charged with counts of rendering and treason for collaborating with Iran.

Kirchner currently serves as Vice President Alberto Fernandez's Vice President.

The Association of Israeli Delegations of Argentina and another group of victims' families who lost their relatives in the 1994 attack on the Jewish community building asked the court this morning (Monday) to reverse the decision that cleared Kirchner, and other senior government officials, of covering the investigation.

In 2013, although the local legal system ruled that Iran and Hezbollah were responsible for the two attacks on Jewish institutions in the country in the 1990s in which 114 people were killed and hundreds more injured, the Kirchner government led a secret agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran for a "joint investigation" of the attack. The terrible.

Under the agreement, which caused a stir throughout the country and the Jewish community in particular, the Kirchner government undertook to provide the regime in Tehran with all the material of the investigation in exchange for a series of trade agreements.

From the moment of the signing, Alberto Nissman, the lawyer investigating the attack, ordered a series of measures against senior government officials, including wiretapping against Kirchner, Foreign Minister Hector Timmerman and a number of other senior officials.

In 2015, Nissman was convinced that the bilateral understanding agreement constituted proof of the rendering of his investigation and therefore ordered the opening of formal proceedings against Kirchner, the then president.

Five days after the indictment was filed, prosecutor Nissman was found shot in the head in the bathroom of his apartment and the government claimed he committed suicide.

Since then there has been a legal battle against Kirchner and a few weeks ago a local court decided to acquit her and dismiss the entire proceeding for "lack of proof of crime".
