While the maritime dispute between Greece and Turkey seems to be calming down, Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the expulsion of a dozen Western ambassadors, before reconsidering his decision. From a geopolitical point of view, what interest does Turkey have in turning its back on its allies?
In fact, the Turkish president then reversed his decision.
Perhaps he will have belatedly understood the danger of a new international crisis with countries which are his allies and partners (admittedly circumspect, even reluctant), both diplomatically and militarily and economically.
Let us stress here the importance of the European market and of the European Union-Turkey customs union for the national economy.
