Fürstenfeldbruck - The Brucker Leonhardifahrt is organized in honor of St. Leonhard and has been maintained in its current form since 1966.
In 1743 the citizens vowed to vote during a cattle epidemic.
On Saturday, October 30th, it's that time again: At 1.30 p.m. the votive office will take place in front of the St. Leonhard Church.
This is followed by the blessing of all participants in the procession and then the procession through the city center.
Dressed up horses, festively decorated chest and motif floats and numerous carriages take part.
Brass bands and marching bands musically frame the Leonhardiffahrt.
The city is happy when visitors support the event by purchasing the Leonhardi badge.
Corona security measures: The spectators are asked to line up along the entire moving route.
If the minimum distance of 1.5 meters cannot be maintained, the wearing of a medical face mask is recommended.
Road closures
Due to the Leonhardi trip on October 30th from 11.30 a.m. to 6 p.m., parts of the city center will be closed. The diversion is signposted. As always, the entrance and exit to Kirchstrasse is via Gartenstrasse and Weiherstrasse, to Bullachstrasse via the library courtyard and the city park. The stops of the MVV regional bus routes in the affected area are not approached. The city asks you to pay attention to the public transport passenger information. In addition, a part of the fairground will be separated for the participants of the parade, so that on the one hand the horses can be loaded and unloaded undisturbed, but also the pedestrians and drivers do not come into conflict with horse and rider.
The barrier post on Dr.-Lorenz-Lampl-Straße will be removed so that visitors can drive to the parking lot from there on that day.
Leonhardi-Hoagart
On October 30th at 7.30 p.m., the city is also holding its Leonhardi-Hoagart, bringing current and diverse folk music to the stage in the small hall of the Fürstenfeld event forum.
